Thread: What's going on in the catlins?

Pretty sure it's the rata range access. Heaps of idiot's spotlighting etc. On the forestry roads. Quite a few cowboys down the catlins poaching but ya never run into them in the bush, too hard for them in there.

@kiwigreen yeah that would make sense! When I called doc it seemed that they've closed off the whole area but I wasn't clear how they'd do that given there is hunting access off public roads. She just kept saying "the gates are closed" but couldn't tell me which ones.

It'll be catlins road, shaw road etc. Through the forestry I bet. Still accessible from the edges. Was the doc in owaka? I can never get ahold of them.
