Where did i get the hunting bug from?

I have been hunting Deer since i was about 16, old enough to carry a rifle and drive around.
My father was never a Deer hunter but dabbled with small game and Ducks which i took up when if was the same age but was always part of the party when it was suitable for me to go.
As i have gotten older i have thought about things like (where do i get this Hunting bug from) well today i got an answer.
Today i received from an Aunty a knife and postcards from my Great Great Grandfather from when he was over in Cologne, Germany.
The knife has a picture of the cathedral on it and the postcards have all sorts of different buildings etc.

Anyway back on course, with this package was a picture of my Great Great Grandfathers cousin.
This man lived in Wendon and moved to Tuatapere, his name is Alexander (Sandy) Robertson and here is the pic the man i believe is the reason i like to hunt when no other family members seem to.

If anyone knows the where abouts of these heads, if they are still around i would love to here from you.

    Cheers
    Mal

Very good, some history there for you. Good luck tracking it down.

What about the cannon he has there? Doesn't look like the usual 303 from the era.

I have just emailed Bruce Banwell to see if he has any record or recollection of the heads as he used to live down this way.
