    Whirinaki access

    Hey lads,

Has anyone got a handle on the status of access to the Whirinaki off the Napier Taupo? Specifically Pohokura road into Plateau road and Hautapu road area. Would like to get back into the Te Hoe area after many years away, but unsure what the roads are like these days, especially post Gabrielle.

Yeah that’s what I expected. Was always an issue up there. So it’s a no go? Washouts impassable?

Tbh I haven’t driven via the Taupo Napier over recent weeks but via Minginui it’s all go, I’ve been up the Plateau and Pine milling and Pukeroa.
Gods country is the mighty Te Hoe.
