    Question Whirinaki Plateau rd hunting

Hi, After a hip op I now hunt from my small camper van , no more backpacking in. Have been in the Clements rd end and Piripiro camp in the Pureorus. So has anybody been into the Whirinaki via Waipunga, circut rd, pine milling rd, plateau rd area. Just looking to see if it is o k to drive in, or if you can drive in and have a hunt with my new Hawkins Plains Rifle for a red. Camper is not 4x4 but can handle some rough gravel stuff and is a good base camp, Thanks for any info ,Homebrew.357.

I believe the way through from the Waipunga is closed at the moment. something to do with the bridge the south end being dangerous.

You will have to come in from the Minganui access, won't be any trouble with the state of the road just take your time and it will be fine

Hi and thanks guys, Just looking at Google maps at the Minganui end coming in from Main rd then on to South rd, which runs along the back of the pines and on the edge of the forest park. Looks like some good spots along there, so the best way is to have a look with the old mark one eye ball, Cheers, Homebrew.357.
