Harsh hunting conditions, great video, always great to see a differnt style of hunting and game. Are you huntng by area ..meaning you know where they should be and work from spot to spot, or hunt sunny faces looking for movement type of thing

Also how do you cook em?

The ranges are massive in this area (huge area, not high) so you need a fair idea of where to start looking. Then it's just a matter of skiing, glassing, skiing, glassing, skiing until you hopefully find the birds.

I just season them and cook them in the oven. I really like the taste of ptarmigan and try to do as little as possible with the meat.

When you shoot one do the rest fly off or do they land somewhere close by so you can have a second go?
