This is a fantastic thread
As a lady hunter myself, I'd say chicks out in the bush are few and far between. I can understand why you wouldn't want to take a barbie into the bush - I wouldn't either!! I have carried my fair share of gear on my back and never complained but alas I'd say I'm a bit more into it than most girls. One of my most memorable days out with my bestie (39yo ex-Army driver with an insane love for gun and knives) was when he taught me to skin a rabbit! Needless to say I got fur and grass everywhere, I think the dog ended up being the only one eating fresh meat that day!
I've seen plenty of middle aged women out there tramping, are some of you guys not married to them? They'd be up for a hunt, surely! (I hope I can get away with saying "middle-aged)
I'm trying to get my other half into hunting. He's a sick bastard - born with legs like a deer, I show him a planned tramping route and he says "Why are me taking all this stuff? We could just run there and back." grrr Marathon runners, gotta love/hate them!
