"If you applied the same rule to the Abbatoir, I think we all know what would happen"I have never been in an abattoir however I'm sure when the unions held all the power that it would have been tools down at 10am, 2pm and 3pm without exception.
I hear what you are saying Pengy which is why I believe in 1 shot kills and have a pretty good record. Things don't always go to plan. When a deer is shot they don't know what it is. Unlike most humans who say "oh fuck, I've been shot" and lie down. Deer will take the path of least resistance and depart rapidly for a short distance.
I have seen a friend shoot the jaw off a hind. He was beside himself and still is to this day. We tracked that deer for quite some time. We would get close and then hear it moving through the bush and subsequently would find the pool of blood where it had been. We never caught up with it and the deer would most likely have starved to death.
A stag I shot from 15m bolted and stopped 30m away right in sight of my brother who put a hole 1" from where mine was (proof we are related) After cutting it up, and seeing the lung damage, it was already dead on it's feet. Had the deer seen my brother, it would have bolted again of the side possibly not to be found and a waste of a deer.
