    Wyoming 2024

Hunting season is finally here! Figured I'd share some of my adventures this fall, starting off with a pronghorn I killed a couple days ago. I've never killed an antelope with this rifle, a CZ 9.3x62, model 550fs. Was able to pull it off with open sights too, 50 yards. Fun way to hunt these critters.

That's quite a challenge getting into bow range on one of them

    Well done

Yes it's a different world from little old NZ. Good to see your pic, you look like a younger glasseye from the other forum.

Nice, was just there visiting Yellowstone and stayed a couple days in Cody to visit the Buffalo Bill center, ride horses and shoot six guns.
The Pronghorns I saw were not available for shooting !

I hunted Antelope at Rawlins Wyoming few years ago, tough country, the early Settlers were a different Breed.

I couldn't believe the number of Pronghorn I saw from the road (Gillette to Douglas) when I was there a few years ago. Nice wide-open country.

Thanks guys. Got lucky with this one. Seemed like he was asking to get shot, haha.

The herd numbers seem to be alright in the area I was hunting. Other parts of Wyoming got hammered a couple years ago by a bad winter, and in a lot of hunt areas pronghorn quotas have been drastically reduced.
