how about a thread about peoples first?

My first Deer:



Me and my mate hunted with a 303 and a 308. came across this stag and fired at the same time... Although there was only one hole in it? who knows whos deer is really their "first"

The Shame

I unfortunately don't have a photo of my first deer, but here is my first sika and first DOC land deer. It is the kill I worked the hardest for and the one I am most proud of.

First deer in 1987 in Waihaha on a Waikato branch NZDA orgainsed hunt. I was taken hunting by Phil Meulemkamp and his GSP Jacques. Shot the deer with Dad's open sighted Jungle carbine 303 with 20 yr old CAC ammo.

I remember it like it was yesterday, lovely little petite brunette thing about 5'2"...oh wait that was yesterday!

Honestly don't remember my first deer, but my first roaring stag in the bush is etched into my memory for eternity.

It would be about 18 years ago now that the first animal felt the sting of a weapon at my hands, wish I had a pic of my first rabbit. good old brn model 2 open sights. Old man still has it going strong.
