    Each to their own I reckon.
    Wounding an animal with bow or rifle is no different if the animal gets away. I reckon a lot more animals would suffer less and recover from a tussle with dogs, than a wound from a projectile.
    As pointed out before, good dogs will hunt as trained.

    My cobber keeps my pork rations topped up so I am all for it. I love wild pork.
    Dogs do not fuck around with their prey the way cats do either.
    I wanted to shoot one of my wife's cats watching it with a skink yesterday.
    I didn't because I like her cooking and various other skills.😊
