Some more comments from me. i feel the need to try answer what I can as I have moved around in the LR hunting circles a bit although now i'm more of a bush hobbit when not on private land.
Where is the rifle and pack when recovering gear? Its stashed in the bush, quite common amongst some hunters to stash all but the minimum when doing a big recovery. not saying ive done it and not saying i agree/disagree with it.
Shooting off doc tracks? Cant 100% tell but i remember talking to a few Doc and Firearms officers a few years back about the definition of "shooting from the road/track" and quite a few said to me as long as you are next to the road/track shooting away from it into an area that you have a permit to hunt it then you are all good. but some said 200m away from the track/road and some were not sure. so I guess depends who you ask, my go to is to ask the local who will likely be the one that you have to explain yourself to. i dont know the law's definition which i was trying to find out.
Shooting over doc tracks? Haven't seen any videos like that, but yeah not allowed I'm pretty sure.
Who cuts the shooting blinds? I'm sure he might have done a few himself, however I've found many a shooting blind that has been there for many years and obviously well used in various forests up on the tops or across slips even in the kaimais, so i geuss we cant `100% tell who did what, just like guys who cut down natives around campsites and huts for firewood. again not saying i do it or agree/disagree, its just what i observe
