    1/2-28 vs. 14-1 thread for Tikka .223

So i've got a Tikka .223 on order (had to wait for 1-8 twist) and i'll be threading it for a silencer. I have a DPT 1/2-28 thread one I use to use on my AR so logically I should just get it threaded for that right, but I was wondering if there is any reason that would be a bad idea and I should thread it 14-1 as per the factory threaded Tikkas? the 1/2-28 leaves a 12.7mm OD thread vs. the 14mm OD thread. Could the smaller OD affect accuracy? My AR was pretty accurate but just wondering peoples thoughts mostly because i'm OCD and tend to overthink these things.

1/2x28 gives you alot more options for muzzle devices, and you already have a suppressor in that thread pitch. You're overthinking it mate, accuracy will be fine still plenty of meat on the barrel.

1/2 x 28 in case you want to sell later, not even based on what's better, just more common.

14x1 is pretty common, its "factory" on several euro manufactured rifles, and if the OP had plans to go to a 308 or something 284 or bigger at a later stage then a 14x1 might worthwhile cause its a better thread size once you start moving "up" from the 224's, and with a DPT he could get away with just buying the back section and using his 224 baffles in the meantime . . . .
