    100 yrs old and still going strong

    Just been going over some guns today with a bit of oil and noticed this old girl was 100 last year , made in 1923 , I brought this rifle a couple years ago off a gentlemen who’s father brought it in 1929 … so with the same family for 93yrs , quite incredible really .Name:  _DSC2779.jpeg

    Any more info on the rifle scope etc? looks very cool and worth hunting with at least once.

    Carl Zeiss Jena , I am not sure how you adjust the reticle , need to do some homework on that , all steel obviously and the claw mounts are silly smooth

    Greetings @Lucky and all,
    The turret on top adjusts for elevation and windage is adjusted in the rear base. The scope will be reticle moving so the cross hairs could be above or below the centre of the view once zeroed. Assuming the scope is original it may have been zeroed for the then standard load of 150 grain projectile at 2,700 fps so matching that could be a good start and you may find the rifle is still zeroed. It is also likely to be a metric tube size, 26mm or other.
