    11" 7mm08 Remington(Cause why not?!)

Saw a chassis (MDT LSS) pop up on trademe cheap, so bought it without a rifle to go into it. Luckily the seller also had a mint Remington 700 in 7mm08 for sale aswell, so picked that up at the same time. Chassis had been cerakoted by @BigEarl69 in an awesome green colour, and the rifle in a dark grey. Well me being a bit of a madman thought it looked too long, so off it went to my local smith for a "quick trim". Decided to go down to minimum legal OAL solely because it looks cool. And here we have the nearly finished product!

Currently fitted with a Luth AR Chubby grip, Sonic 45 compact suppressor, Harris bipod and an Element HDLR 2-16x50. Also currently has a Luth AR buttstock, but that is being replaced with a proper MDT SCS lite stock. Overall I'm bloody happy how it turned out, extremely compact, light and pointible. Will it have the legs to hit something at 500-800m like the factory 21" barrel might have? Probably not. Will it be awesome to shoot at the range for a laugh(and fireballs with the can off) and still be able to knock over a sambar at 100-200m? Most definitely!! Looking forward to trying out some different rounds and see what it likes!

Cheers! I don't currently reload, but a good buddy does, I'll get him to spin a few up!

Corelocks are pretty average compared to new designed bullets man they dont leave a massive wound channel. Go with something softer, bt or something like eldm

Nosler uses the same jacket for the 120 as they use for the 140 BT. It's a tough bullet. My son and I both use them in our 7mm-08s.

I've been near a bare muzzle .308 that short when it went off talk about loud! Then there was the muzzle flash visible in full sun, it would be illuminating at last light.

Shot a few hundred deer with Coreloct 308 over the years. Deer didn’t seem to notice difference between them and my favourite Speer 150’s. Dead is fking dead. Early Nosler BT’s separated jacket and core most of time up to about 250m, impressive on goats though.

For a really short barrel I would go with a heavy, and potentially softer bullet.

    More efficient under the circumstances.

Hi, there are ( or were) a bullet from nosler and one from hornady in 7mm flat point designed for the 7mm shooting time easterner cartridge and 7-30-30. Which is a lever gun cartridge. They are designed to expand at slightly lower velocities than the current 7-08 speed. That could work in your short barrel gun….

+1 on the 120bt. If you can find any. Otherwise the Hornady 139sst with 42 Grains or 2208 is also an awesome combo.

    On an 11 inch barrel?

The pyrotechnics are going to be spectacular!
