Yea pretty disappointing considering the SKS I had before it would run rings around it out of the box if this goes OK I'll look at building one slowly been collecting parts or just buy a Chinese one

No but trying to get back down there been up north a bit tho

so did a bit of testing on the weekend at 100m best I could do shooting 10 shot groups was 2.5" with 24gr 2206h and 69gr sierra hpbts groups gradually opened up as powder charge went up going to load up some 55gr rounds and try those as well I'm starting to think I'm expecting to much from this type of rig

Hmmm those results aren't too bad @northdude - What scope mag were you shooting with? Does is it have a standard mil-spec trigger?

I could shoot a 2-3" group with my old 12.5" NEA @100m with a red dot using 55gr ball ammo - Maybe try 55gr stuff and see what results you get but theoretically being a 1/7 twist it should shoot the 69gr hpbt's very well @100m.

Is this with the new barrel? Should be able to do much better than that

yep new barrel and its got a schmiesser trigger in it its very nice its a cmmg or ccmg barrel not having the brass problems or jam ups any more either so more playing with handloads I guess I'm seating out as far as the mag will let me as well got an adjustable gas block coming to try and control it a bit better the action working is more noticeable to me than the recoil so a block should help tame it I hope and a 5x scope is on it

I've got a CMMG barrel that shoots nicely. Try the 55gr Nosler soft points gunworks sells. I have found they are easy to get shooting out of most AR's

ive got some 55gr hornadys on hand that shoot real well in the 222 so ill try those

I've only ever had one barrel that has shot 55gr Hornady's well. I don't know if it is because the ogive angle is too aggressive or what. Found the Nosler soft points to have more consistent weights too. I seriously recommend them, great hunting bullet, dynamite on goats.

right i think this is as good as this thing is going to shoot this was at 50m i tried 4 diferent types of ammo and my handloads shot this im use to 1 hole shit at 50m but it looks like this is as good as it gets with the naughty rifleAttachment 82938
