    My current load is the 68gr Hornady BTHP's with BM2 which it likes, but haven't tried many other reload combos to be honest. Shoots the Hornady 55gr SP's OK too
    Strangely the best factory ammo I've tried was the American Eagle 50gr varmint tipped, didn't think the 1/7 twist would like them
    Can get consistant 1.25" - 1.5" groups @ 100, the occasional group drops down to 1" and a bit below. I'm very much an average shot so a good shooter would improve that no doubt
    It does have a reduced power trigger spring so trigger is slightly better than standard but not by much

    OK cheers mines a 1 in 7 trying 62gn sierras at the moment might try slightly heavier again I'd like better groups than what I'm getting its got a nice trigger in it now as well

    @northdude

    Try these with BM2 powder.

    My 16" 1 in 7" CMMG absolutely loves them.

    Cheers

    @P38 what load of BM2 are you using? I've just loaded some of these to trial in my 16" cmmg with 1:7. Started at 24gr, which is probably getting close to max load according to ADI manual but i've loaded 64-69gr with the same so should be a good start.
    Wish i could load something that was as good as those American Eagle 50grs, I just loaded up 20x 40gr Vmax's with various charges so will see how they like the fast twist. Would like to explode some Wallabies next month with them

    +1 for the 65gn Gamekings.

    Go well in my:
    1 in 8" Sako 75
    1 in 9" 16" Schmeisser (Lothar Walther barrel)
    1 in 7" 11.5" Frankenstein, think it was a Colt 2nds barrel from Spanners.

    ok tried 69gr match kings but still not that happy its better but shooting about as good as the sks i had with cheap steel case ammo 3"-4" at 100 is the best i can get out of it might be try a barrel time id like to keep it shortish so i see there are some 14.5" barrels on tm that apparently shoot well acording to seller or i saw a dd 16" any thoughts

    Yeah those 50g Varmint AR223 American Eagle rounds are surprisingly good in my WW AR15. Shame I can't find a reliable source!
