Same load here also. I'm seating mine out as far as I can go. Have the 25g to try for a rainy day

The more I read, the more I want one now. I’m not into reloading, how have you all found the factory Hornady rounds??
I already have a 1771 in .223 but @Noswal if you ever decide to sell your hornet, let me know!!
@JohnQT there was one on Trademe today or yesterday, a savage if I recall. Not too badly priced either.
@Redaxler you will be happy with that! That’s with the Ruger?
Factory loads shoot good in mine. Disregard the others, circled the 3 shot group this was when I was adjusting my scope.

I haven’t reloaded for it yet, that is still to come.

Was going to link it up in the trade me good deals thread but then thought I might get shot down for it being a savage
Do the folks that reload for the 17 hornet FL resize the brass?

I reload 17H along with many other cartridges. I have neck sized in the past, but now full length size for every case all of the time.
Neck sizing only introduces inconsistencys eventually as you will need to bump back the shoulder at some point so you will end up with some ammo thats neck sized only and some that has the shoulder bumped back or FL sized therefore changing the case capacity.
Best to FL everytime and only just bump the shoulder by the bare minimum needed.
Well a year later and I finally have a .17 Hornet.
Thanks for all your advice, really appreciate it.
I bought a second hand CZ 527 off another forum member and have had great results so far, 9mm groups at 100m and seriously impressive on little pesties!! Really quiet and feels like a rimfire to shoot
