    my first thought as well, use a sling . . 2nd was i wouldnt want to loose any velocity, not a lot to start with and resale value will take a hit.

    For night time thermal/IR shooting, you need a free hand for the thermal bino's, and a free hand for the shooting sticks. Having the rifle slung across the front (like the good old days of AR three gun) is definitely the most efficient method of carry for transitioning from walking to shooting off the sticks.

    Velocity average is 2,650fps out of the barrel as it is. Loosing 150fps doesn't do much in terms of hunting hold over out to 150m.
    I definitely don't plan on selling the rifle. That will be someone else's problem after I have passed on
