Thread: 17wsm and 17 hornet

I have strong liking of the .17, had an HMR for many years and always will.I look at the center fires now and then but for my use the advantage of extra distance they give would hardly ever be use full, most of my shooting is inside 175 yds. Any night shooting Id loose 50% of my brass so a rimfire becomes way cheaper and its nice not have scramble around looking for brass to reload for a change. Ill end up with a .17 hornet or more likely a Mark IV one day but only because I want to. In the mean time the .222 gives any extra distance I might need and is more use full overall.
