Thread: 1850s English Percussion Pocket Pistol,

Has anyone had anything to do with the likes of these?
I'm guessing they would be a bit thin on the ground in NZ?
Does anyone have a rusty incomplete 'muff' pocket pistol in their collection?

Hi, yes I have a reasonable collection of such things (though mainly flintlock), there are a few about, some on trade me but mainly gun shoes and auctions. I am guessing that one has British (Birmingham) proof marks on the underside of the barrel, I can’t see from the photo but is there makers name on there, I could look up for you.

If you need a hammer etc, there are couple of firms in the U, Dyson and Blackwood deal in repro castings

I know of one in poor condition missing hammer etc.
Never to be fired again but it would be nice to make it complete again.

Cool, would be worth going for but only at the right price as getting the parts would be troublesome...Best PM me if you can get any photos or want to talk more.
