@NZShoota What make is your M1917? What does it shoot like? I've got an Eddystone and it's a fussy bitch on ammo, got it grouping really good on Belmont, Good on Whitetail and Corelokt. Still on the original barrel but have a new criterion for it.

Mine is also an Eddystone on its original 11/1917 barrel. Been meaning to get a load sorted for it. If I recall it was nothing special with the load I use through my Garand and 1903. Some of the US forums reckon they run best with 168gr projectiles. I'm just using pulled 144/147gr FMJ's with the Garand and 1903's.
