    2-10ish x40 hunting scopes

Looking for a scope for my 260, will be used in bush and tops hunting.

I want the ability to dial 100% reliably with no focus or paralax. Zoom range of 2 at the bottom with around the 10-12 power at the top.
    Budget is max $1500.

    Few options:
Loopy Vx6 2-12x40 - $1950 so out of my price range but perfect otherwise.
Zeiss HD5 2-10x42 -$1350 not sure on what the turrets are like under the caps and can't find that info anywhere.
Vortex razor HD LH 2-10x40 : $1350 capped turrets so good there and with the G4 its a perfect reticle. The lead option at this stage.

    Any other options out there?

If you know someone in Aus that is coming over here.

$885 nzd or have it shipped over,
you may or may not get stung with GST and duty and would still be cheaper than buying one here in NZ.

Get the zeiss with lockable turrets. You might as well get a 3-15 to be fair as bugger all difference between 2 and 3 power but quite noticeable between 10 and 15x but up to you. They are a heavy scope.

Other option would be a Swarovski z3

Check out the current prices of a vx6 on eurooptic.com. Very cheap

Capped turrets are a pain. Lockable is easier

Swarovski Z3 is light indeed and a very usable scope. I'm looking at my options as we type. Similar needs as you @Timmay and I'd agree the 15 power is beautiful as long as the glass is up to it, that's why I think Vortex are crap, been there done that and it's out of Swarovski, Leica , Kahles and my current which is the Steiner which is a beast and possibly too much for my general hunting needs.
Been some cheaper VX6 floating around that me and you have been missing out on. I'd be more inclined however to get for me a 3-18x50 if one came up for under the usual moonbeam amount.
    Happy looking and hunting.

Thanks for the suggestions lads. I've looked at the nightforce but I don't want parallax/focus so that knocks them out.
The Z3 3-10 is only a 3X scope so it's low mag is actually 3.5 which is too high for me.

Looking seriously at the 2-12 vx6 and the Vortex.

Nightforce do a x32 version of that scope that has no parallax adjustment. I have one, it's a very neat wee scope.

Yeah. Getting one is on my wish list but will need to sell something first.
