    Rails suck
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

    20MOA Rail and scope recommendations?

Do you need a rail or do you think you might? Rail suck cause they are yet another junction to come loose, get in the way and their greatest suckyness is they add height to your scope centreline = even more shit to add on your rifle to get good check weld.
My suggestion is get either a one piece ring set like the NF or Gamereaper or even better try just rings like the Burris Zees. Do you know you need 20MOA?
    Better?

From reading 20MOA will be needed to get out to 1000 with the Vortex PST I'm mounting, however I do admit my knowledge is google powered only and only going with advice on might as well get 20moa than not. The action is a howa so I'm pretty sure the NF option is out, I have not considered the Gamereaper or burris. Weight is not really too much of an issue. Much better thank you

If you want to shoot that far, get the 20 moa rail.

Or you could do what I did years ago & listen to the "experts", not get a 20 moa rail & get a 0 rail as instructed only to discover trying to get to 1100 I ran out of elevation in my MK4 on my Edge.....good times.

I took the POS (recommended by another well know "expert") 0 rail off threw it away & put a 20moa rail on, sorted

Rail plus low 34mm rings on Sako 85 is same height + same amount of extra screws as factory 34mm optilocks. but canted 20moa and also 50 grams lighter and also not made of steel to rust. Rails are ok. Direct mount would be better if it's an option.
