Thread: 22 arc Tikka build

If you go 22 ARC you will need a .223 sized bolt face ( the .308 sized bolt is to big for the ARC ) which your gunsmith will have to alter into the ARC’s bolt / case head size and play with the extractor etc .
It has been done and there is a thread on an American forum somewhere showing it , I believe that guy got 308 sized M factory mags to work .
Personally I’d either get a.223 or just go 22 Creedmore/ 22-250 ….Much easier and a real step up in performance.
