Thread: 22 Gunsmiths

Hello Folks. Thanks to @Scout I now have a 22 barrel that I think will take me somewhere with a Winchester M52 project.

I want to ensure the work is top notch, it will include a "match" style chamber (who has one in 22??) and a coned breech (not a job for the faint hearted!)

I recall someone (maybe @The Claw or @dogmatix ) here had some work of this nature done on a Sako Quad or the like.

Thoughts welcome.

Allen Carr set back my Anschutz 54 barrel and rechambered it with match dimensions, recrowned. Shoots like it should.

Is scout a gunsmith?looking to have a barrel drilled and tapped for a weaver rail.
