I haven't shot a huge heap of .22 pistols but I like the Ruger 22/45, easy to shoot, similar manual of arms to most centrefire semi-auto pistols (1911 control layout), reliable, easy to get parts etc.

The 22s (at least Sig and GSG anyway) use 'Zamak 5', while Hi-Points use the weaker 'Zamak 3' and obviously fire much higher pressure ammo, so the 22s aren't as shit as Hi-Points.

The only thing I don't like about the 22/45 is how the mag inserts at a different angle to the grip, but they are better guns than any of the look-alike 22s.

Oh yeah, I was just saying that Hi Points are garbage, nothing to do with the .22s. I don't like the GSG .22 1911 clone much. It's sort of airsoft grade.
