About LinkBacksThe look-alike .22s can't have steel slides as it's too much mass for the .22 to cycle. The breechblock is still steel, it's only the outer slide that's aluminium. Zinc alloy is less than ideal, but if you're worried about machined aluminium for the slide you might want to stay away from 10/22s, AR15s and all the shotguns that use aluminium receivers.
A Walther PP in .22 would be pretty cool.
