About LinkBacksOnly a section of the Kadet's 'slide' actually reciprocates, so it can be made from steel. Full size 22 conversions that have fully reciprocating slides can't be all steel, even high end ones like Kimber and Sig are aluminium. The Glock conversion that you mentioned, the TSG-22, is a steel outer slide with an aluminium breechblock.
