Thread: .223 or 5.56

Was wondering why are gun stores in nz only importing .223 and not a 5.56.

Steves Whoilesale imports 5.56.

Might have something to do with it's application as 5.56 is a mil cal. i.e it's easier to justify importing large quantities of .223 for sporting application that will saftely fire in a 5.56mm chamber..

your average Joe Bloggs knows what a .223Rem is but 5.56...is that a type of CRC????
There is bugger all difference in practicle terms the same goes for .308 VS 7.62......
also try going into store and ask for 5.56 ammo and watch the blank stare....
