    223 supressor

I have purchased a 223 off a forum member for a mate and he wants it supressed
So looking at the dpt overbarrel 24-6mm or the Gunworks spartan 223
the DPT is 50 dollars dearer.
Any opinions on what is best

Also the barrel thread is by gunworks at 1/2x20 will both of these supressors just screw straight on or is it more complicated that that ?
    Thanks,

You specify the thread you want when you buy the suppressor.
I have both Gunworks and DPT.
Both good, but the DPT's better IMHO.

+1 DPT, and you can buy more baffles if you want to make it quieter. V light in weight too.

I'm also in the market for a can for my AR, and so far the response to my enquiries has be been heavily in favour of a DPT. Had a play with one the other day and the extra baffle setup is very neat.

    Sure will.
Buy a 'thread protector' for when you don't have the suppressor mounted.
    $10 on Trademe.

Hang about. If its a DPT over-barrel, doesn't it need the back bush sized?

The MAE Compact is fantastic, I have one on my 22-250, no bushing required and does a superb job, come in a bead blasted finish or black...

    This is mine...

Yeah ask Darren how far back from the shoulder his can sits then measure you're barrel diameter so he can size the bush without the rifle easy as have done it with his cans before

if you go DPT , I would do 2 things , one order a SS baffle , and two get a smith to put a SS thread insert into the back end of the can .

The back bushing on the DPT doesn't really do anything, I used my DPT for about a year without it
