    @Toby

Glad to see you were able to drag your sorry arse outta that ditch and make your way home safely.

I dropped several Goats at about 200m earlier this year with my gutless .223

    Cheers

I bet our gutless 223's could drop them at 5 Hundy too..................... but only if we were up to it.

    Me too Toby

But I've been practising ..... can hit an 8" gong at 5 hundy ..... sometimes.

Haven't tried to shoot a Goat at that range yet but I feel confident I can do it.

    Cheers

This was the best we did, 2 more by me not in the pic. Only 2 got away.

One good billy took a neck shot at 60 walked off so I went down to where he was now he was looking at me maybe 20m away thought fuck it shoulder shot cause he was through scrub hit him he heads up the hill haply as larry then I smack him as he was walking up again before he fell over. I dont know much but I know my 6.5 would of dropped him with the neck shot. But thats nothing my main concern is it wasnt a one off it happend on atleast 15 goats or so it was shit.

Hard to say cause the ones at 200 dropped like a sack of shit same as one mob at 170 but these close enoughs just werent cutting it. Maybe it was too fast so its the opposite of gutless?

    Toby

The 55gr Vmaxs I used to run do this too.

At short range they would go straight through without killing well.

The Sierra 65gr spire points drop them in their tracks.

    Cheers

This is just 55gr sp. That bulk pack ammo from H&F which reminds me I need more now. It shoots average as but its under a dollar a shot and Im lazy enough as it is with my reloading I cant see me loading .223 anytime soon

    Good on you @Toby and @P38, I also love my "223", actually I am looking to trade my CZ455 22LR Evolution on a 223 or a 6.5

    Good stuff!

Size: 87.2 KBtry a 50 grn projectile rather than the run of mill hard 55s....you may be surprised at difference. big red hind yesterday didn't go 3 feet after 50 grn hit her.
