    Oil patch and dry patch only until accuracy can no longer be restored by the oil and dry patch method. Then you need a full clean and refoul.

    Fouling seals the heeled .22 projectile as the residue from powder and wax and leadbuilds up to tighten the bore, and thusly improves consistency and accuracy.

    More .22 barrels are ruined by cleaning than from shooting.
