    22LR scope with reticle/dials

    Hi team,

Wanting to look at an upgrade on the 22 so I can plink and varmint out a bit further.

I understand Burris do a 22LR MSR? scope that's calibrated for 22LR? Is this the case, are they in NZ?

Want something sub $300 if possible.

What do you guys use? What's out there?

Would a 223AR reticle scope work?

You'd probably need to negotiate with TR. I threw it on her 22, like I seem to do with any half descent scope that arrives here. Think I bought it off @GWH.

Another option would be a nikko nighteater.

Rather than getting pre-calculated you're better off getting mil-dot or bdc and use the strelok ballistic app. There will be differences in ammo enough that the subtensions on the pre-calculated scopes will be off by a bit. It also gives you the flexibility to change ammo.

    This ^^^^^

A little while ago I bought a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x with MRAD turrets for my .22LR. It dials perfectly and the precision for longer range shots on small targets like magpies or young rabbits at say ~120m is much better than either holding over or using a predetermined dial that doesn’t quite match the ammo in your rifle.

It has the added advantage of an MRAD reticle that perfectly matches the drops in increments of 10m per 0.5 Mil, i.e. 10m per hash mark. This is really handy when there are multiple shots and no time to adjust the dial.

I often think we under-estimate the usefulness and benefits of a tactical type optic on our rimfires, I have found this Vortex is really upped the game on the CZ455.

All of this of course depends on having consistent ammunition, which was fine up until my most recent batch of CCI Standard Velocity, which in the heat of summer in the last few weeks has been consistently producing supersonic shots, 1 in every 5 or so, which is really annoying.
    Just...say...the...word

Yeah im no stranger to dialing just thought a reticle on rabbits would be quicker. Figured i could just validate the hash marks to know what range they are for my rifle, and dial when plinking/got time
