    22lr suppressor with no baffles

Hi team, I am relatively new to the rifle hunting world and recently bought a 22lr and supressor. When I got home I decided to unscrew the endcap for the supressor and have a look inside. I was always under the impression that the supressor used baffles to catch and cool the expanding gas however this model seems to only have an internal tube and use the body as a single gas chamber. I was wondering is something is missing here as I haven't seen a suppressor set up like this before. Any help appreciated. Thanks a millionName: IMG20240305220927.jpg

Nothing is missing, it was designed like this based on a larger volume rather than having baffles.
Some say that it's the volume of a suppressor that is the most important for noise reduction, with baffles being secondary. Others say the opposite, that baffles are the most important aspect.
Even on this forum, there are disagreements between members on which is the most important aspect of a suppressor: https://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co....15/index2.html

I have one of those suppressors as well, that is how it is meant to be. Not the quietest suppressor I have but it's not bad

I have one that slips over the barrel, it comes a wee way down so doesn’t hang out the front to far. It’s secured with a hose clamp and has no baffles at all. It is very quite and has had many thousands of rounds through it and still going strong.
