I had one on a Marlin which was my first Rifle I bought with my own money back in about 1991.
Threaded muzzles weren't exactly factory standard like they are now , so the no gunsmithing aspect was great and the actual sound suppression was Bloody good compared to the Parker Hale screw on's that were really your only other option .
The other great feature of them was they didn't add as much lenght to the Rifle .
They were ahead of there time I think , for example using plastics instead of metal .
