I really like mine , obviously its not suppressed as this is my Australia rimfire .

Tim all you need is a bolt action with a good supressor and subs
The bullet hitting the target is louder than the shot itself

I wouldn't go shooting any rifles around a baby. They are like antlers and still have the velvet on at that age. She won't get hard for a while yet.

How about having your Rifle threaded internally?
Someone paid extra to have my 10/22 internally threaded and an adaptor made for the can.

Failing that,the .22 with the longest barrel you can find,plus a can on the end?
Or a regular length Rifle with the can wrapped in a wet tea towel that has been left in the freezer over night.

A very good mate of mine is a professional shooter (goats) he shoots round home aswell
He also shoots black powder and so dose his wife
So those kids have been shot arround since before day dot as his wife never stopped shooting while she was Pregnant
Grandma and grandpa also shoot and so dose great grandpa
So plenty of people to look after the babies
At the range they do keep them well away from the fireing line though
But they don’t even flinch they are just so used to it
Knowing their dad there wouldn’t be a day where they didn’t hear a gunshot or 2

22 subs and a 22 magnum suppressor. All you hear is a click at your end. The biggest noise is the thud when the projectile stops.

You have twins, so I frequently think of you, and wonder how one does that.

This is a Rus baby. Her mother applies the Siberian concept of "tempering" a baby. These women do not wait for antler to harden off in its own. Winter is coming. They dip them in buckets of ice water.

Peltor do earmuffs for kids, I’ve got a few sets and they’re great.

@Carlsen Highway is right of course. However, I have a 30sqm house and a 150 hectare back yard and no TV, so wandering about the place will continue to be our preferred pass time I suspect. She will not be three months old for long. I had her out wandering around at dusk yesterday and she started laughing. I guess she likes when the sun buggers off for a minute. I quite like the idea of menacing the odd rabbit and hare, but only if I can get out in front of her a bit. Pretty sure the pressure of subs would still damage tiny ears.

You just wouldnt want her to become afraid of loud noises. It wouldd be an impediment to becoming the Siberian Olympic shooting champion. But with my bolt action .22 and a silencer, with Win subs it literally is just the click of the firing pin and the bullet impact. That would be alright.

But listen shell be crying too much for that soon. They all start off quiet at first and people go, oh, my baby doesnt even cry...
