    250-3000 Savage trigger trouble

Hi Guys have a 250-3000 with 1920 action. Trigger is like a Bedford gearbox. Who in NZ could someone recommend me to send this to to get sorted. A lot step up and say they can but no luck so far. Appreciate any advice.

Lots of binding places on those triggers, heavy and creepy and too many connecting bits that have a lot of slop. I did my own about 35 years ago by careful work with an oil stone, checked it all the way through for trigger pull etc.

I did one a wee while back while replacing firing pin springs but only gave the relevant parts a good polish with a dremel tool

Charlie Janes has one and cradles it like a baby. Really enjoys shooting with it.

Yea I,m looking forward to shooting it, hear great things about the calibre but like to get that Bedford trigger sorted. Cheers

I really like my 250-3000, its on a short Mauser, a joy to carry and shoot, and has the garks from tumbles on the mountains to prove it. 117 SST's shoot well in mine and have been reasonably effective, I tried other harder bonded bullets but they sometimes didn't expand (at 250-3000 velocities ??) Unfortunately I couldn't get partitions to shoot in my rifle.
