You couldn't go past 2209 In the 260 either for any weight 6.5 projectile.
    excellent projectile choice anyway.

How are you doing with those amaxes Bill. I have shot 100gr amaxes really well sub inch 5 shot groups but they are going really slow at about 2800fps and shot a few half to 3/4 inch groups with the 140s in Winchester brass resized fom 243 to 260 but the speed spread was around 50fps. But when I changed to lapua 260 brass my accuracy for some reason wasn't as good but the speed spread was 13 fps . I'm reasonably new to reloading and having fun but I can wait to get my 260 humming haha

Iv only done one quick batch of loading and none of the loads were impressive accuraccy wise
Im not all that fussed with speed I just want short light and accurate
6.5 grendle speeds would be fine for me

Interesting what you say about lapua .260 brass.
I lost a bit of speed but achieved a bit more accuracy when I formed and loaded up some unsorted rem brass.
I need to do some more testing in case I just had a good day, but it is looking better than all my results with Lapua .260 brass so far.

When I changed from using FC brass to Lapua brass in my 7/08. From memory... I lost a little speed but improved my ES and overall accuracy.

    I really want a .260 as an alrounder/steel gun
