Do the Berger VLD hold together well enough at close range ?, I have tried 130 VLD, not as accurate as the accubonds for me, also but bit skeptical with any target bullet at 3300fps,
I have rather, more faith in a partion or a bonded,
The Berger VLD hunting bullet is just that: a hunting bullet, with great bc that kills well at close range and far out, have killed Tahr at close range (30yds close) fast and clean, might try the 143gn Hornady ELD-X if I can get a few to try. I run the Hornady 140gn Interlock and 123SST as a dual load setup in my 6.5 Swede, but the 143 ELD might be a good stand alone bullet in both rifles, I just wouldn't run any SST at real speed at close range, if you were going to run the 130gn SST in your 6.5 Winmag, set up a dual load with something tougher for the close stuff.
