Thread: .270WSM Experiences?

Not used 270wsm but did own 2 300wsm, i was only using 150gr BT's and 180gr accubond handloads. They worked well , all one shot bang flop kills out to 600m. After running 150gr LRAB's in standard 270win i would be more than happy using those in a 270wsm with devastating effect much like the hornady ELD's in the other cals I've tried.

@tikka I haven't been able to get the LRAB to shoot in this Xbolt 270wsm. They shot well in my last one (an A7 that I re barrelled to 300saum). What jump did you give them or are then any tricks?

Have been told that some rifles like the LRAB bullets others don't, luck of the draw I suppose.

Might be worth looking at Optimum Barrel Time for the Accubond LR @Tahr. Sometimes a certain bullet/case/powder/barrel combination results in very narrow accuracy nodes that can be frustratingly hard to find. Could be worth a go to see if there's anything you haven't already tried that might work.

It was quite a big jump as it was to fit in a Sako magazine for multiple animal shots.
