I have a 28 Nolser, What do you want to know ?
180gn Berger hybrids @ 3250 using 82gn 2225 out of a 28" 1-9 twist barrel.
James.
Whom have now made a 6.5-300 Wthby and supported it with factory ammo.
Sorry for the Hijack Camo

Rule 5: Check your firing zone
It's a custom rifle and the loads are loaded to use the full 3.6" of a long action, not the 3.3..." that the Nosler loads use.
To fully utilize the Berger 195 you need a 1-8.2 or faster twist that I don't have so I have not yet tried them and probably won't with this barrel. I do plan to get a faster twist barrel later.
I did load some Berger 140's for a laugh, they got to 3730 and shot at around 1.2" from memory, I wasn't trying to shoot groups just see how fast they went....
Apart from that I have not tried any other projectiles.
The brass when compared to Lapua is a little on the soft side, but not real soft. I am up to my 4th reload on my first 50 cases, I bumped the shoulder back after the 3rd.
195 bergers in 7mm would be the bizo I reckon
When I started building this the 30 Nosler was not released, I used 26 Nosler brass and expanded the neck because there was no 28 Nosler brass in Aus when the rifle was ready.
It's built on a Surgeon long action, with a Bartlin #9 HV barrel so it is more a target than a hunting rifle.
I'll find some pics and post them tonight.
The new Forbes rifles have the 26, 28 and 30 Nosler in their lineup
Talk to Quentin (45south)
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
Forbes are out of business are they not? I would like one of there magnums if they exist
