I've been looking at recoil calculators and I hadn't been aware what a massive effect rifle weight had on recoil. That Tikka has always messed with my head and I had put the blurry vision down to muzzle blast...maybe it is recoil...a heavy stock might be part of the answer.

I put a laminated stock with limb saver on my 300WM T3 and it made a big difference to how easy it was to shoot well. I attribute it mostly to the extra weight but stock shape may have been a factor too.
