A fixed 4 power would be more in keeping with the rifle

I've had Burris signature 3-10 on mine for a time and its been well used and trouble free.
A second hand one would be fairly cheep.

If you want it to be period correct scope, look for an older Kahles - 4x, 2-7, 3-9. Or as Mikee suggested, a VX5 2-10

Jeez how long is a piece of string? Get one with a lookin peeper thing at the back that doesn’t smack you in the eye, a aimy thing at the front that helps you hit the target and a grow bigger/smaller adjustment can also be handy.

Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

It has/had a what im guessing is a 1970's 4x32 Miroku, it seems ok but a little hard to get a clear pic, seems a bit foggy.. so yeah just getting a feel of some of you wiser and more experienced heads. cheers all for your view points and just to clarify is the piece of string used as a measure for distance?? i take it.
