    @Stocky be aware that advocates for the 30-30 AI usually compare it handloaded with factory 30-30

    You will likely be handloading for the 30-30 Contender so the benefits will be less in going AI
    Also the issues with case life and sizeing etc will be vastly less in the contender than a vintage lever action

    Load it up and go use it
    That's what I will be doing as soon as I pick up the G1 frame from CHCH
