300 Norma Magnum, a little shooting

Not much to say. Shooting 300 Norma Magnum and using a BDC.

Into the pink was a movie, but maybe not one you could watch with the kids

@Norway, how heavy is your 300NM rifle including scope? The lack of muzzle jump and recoil in general with it is pretty good in this video and in the other one with the positional shooting.

Many thanks for that. I think the next 10 episodes at least will show training of various skills and then piecing them together to cohesive shooting.
I have the recoil well under control now, but I still overcompensate a little on the wind.

Could've been worse. You could've seen Into the Brown. It is very popular in certain circles. Into the Blue was the intended reference.

    Cheers,
Can't quite remember, but it is at the upper limit of what I like a hunting rifle to be and it can be seen here https://youtu.be/oLlcIwpe4Vs

Summer? I do not wear gloves or insulation layer if that's what you mean...
I was hoping to attend a rifle match next month, but it might be cancelled as the range is still covered by 1 meter of snow.

Cool Norway. About 6 kg with no bipod in that video. Add about another 500grams for your bipod.

So not as heavy as i thought it would be considering how good the recoil looks. Very cool.

I think you take off 600 grams with standard barrel, I've taken off 100gr with new silencer (not much, but noticable at the tip). I guess another 150gr disappears with one of my oldmounts, but can't be bothered yet.

It's a huge step down from 338/300gr recoil, 30/230gr is perfectly managable with a little rifle fitting, which makes me think 7mm/180gr should be nice.

The winddrift is awesome. First 500, 1 click per 1 msec wind. Translates to aim left/right vital and shoot without further thinking required.
