    If the seating into the neck is done with too much frictions you can get those rings,Try a bit of graphite powder on some lead shots in a tin box. Just dip the neck of your brass in it, wipe out the excess on the outside and your bullet should seat inside the neck easily.

    How do you dip the neck when its full of powder? I just dip the pill in

    Ok thanks ill have a go at that. I tried putting a bit of wax on pill etc but still no change. This is the first set of hornady dies that have left the ring on pills for me, but it is a fairly compressed load

    Thought so Nah easy to fix bro, my ones used to do it, mainly on compressed loads.
    Take stem, put in drill, roll up some wet and dry and give the inside contact edge a good skim. Mine havnt done it since. Bloody good seating dies really.

    Sweet thanks mate ill give that a go too. Yea ive never really had any issues, I just have the old lock n load setup but it seems to work for me
