Are you looking for ammo or have some to move on?
Greetings,
Now there is a blast from the past. Both the .308 Norma mag and the 7x61 Sharpe and Hart were quite popular cartridges in the 1960's and early 1970's. Both good cartridges but displaced by the 7mm Rem Mag and .300 Win Mag when they came out in the mid 1960's. There are still rifles for both about.
GPM.
From my research for a good 30cal magnum for a P14 project, the Norma magnum came up.
It was design that everyone thought the 300 win mag should've been but beat it by a bit.
Extremely similar performance and slightly better case design.
If I didn't have my heart set on a 300HH I'd do one of these
I have one :-)
Not sure about shipping ammo - cant be arsed with the paperwork. Is this a triggering event , even?
If you get down Upper Hutt way sing out.
Theres 40 rounds of norma factory ammo.
i have a 358 norma, p14 douglas barrel made by din colllins in 84 , i still use occasionally. Have plenty enough ammo to see me out
Be an excuse to get the bike out and go for a ride. I will take it if still available pleaseIf you get down Upper Hutt way sing out.

I've got one. Built on a 1903 Springfield by a friend. It was his South Island tops rifle in the 60's -70's. He passed it on to me before he went off to the happy hunting grounds in the sky. Took a nice 11pt red last roar. Good calibre, emphatic kill.
My Parker-Hale is very light - used to boot badly until we fitted a custom muzzle brake.
Now its like a 243 to shoot but no one will stand next to me when I fire it....
Yup, I've got one, great calibre. Shoots same point of impact with both the 178 ELDX and the 175 Targex. Have a limited supply of brass, cos its mostly old Norma and suffers from case head separation occasionally because the previous owner wasnt that particular with his relaoding. If theres any way we can get the 40 rounds to Canterbury, I'd be keen to buy it.
