    403 forbidden

Went to check prices of an overseas gun shop, it came up with three entries/listings on Google, the first listing was the usual ‘contact’ ‘how to get there’ etc.

The other listings which mentioned their firearms and ammo in stock got the ‘403 forbidden’ notification at the top of my screen.

Anybody got any idea what would be the reason for that?

Just a server issue of sorts on their end. Likely the google link crawler picked up a bad link. If you go to their home page and navigate to what you want using their menus it should work fine, or if not, their website is just proper broken for now.

    It’s nothing malicious, anyway.

    Thanks guys.
I’ve informed them (in a roundabout way) of that issue.

For those interested it is Wileys Gun Shop in Texas.

    Update:
I contacted the gunshop owner and apparently because they don’t have an export licence the block to overseas is mandatory by American law.

Smacks of Big Brother in my estimation when all you want to do is browse....

If you watched the old school TV news yesterday...apparently gun shops are selling out of stock of most everything due to the BLM riots and up coming elections. A lot of first time gun buyers buying everything, not so much of existing gun owners as was so in the past. Quoted a 150 thou sold in a day, every day, recently. Lines of mainly women, stretching down the street outside gun shops. Only in America, aye.

    True.
This gunshops manager phones all his sales reps he deals with first thing every morning trying to get stock, ammo in particular.
He’s had line-ups at times of customers in vehicles in 1/4 mile line, all wanting to buy stuff they can’t get elsewhere.

Someone pointed out that this seems to go in cycles every time there is an election in the US. Personally, if this is the case, I would have thought that Gun and ammunition manufacturers would prepare for the "busy season" in the same way other businesses prepare for Christmas by lifting stock manufacturing levels beforehand....Its the US, if the rush does not happen for some reason, then it will still sell, it may just take a bit longer. I think they are missing out on a lot of sales there....
