    6.5-284 Rifles

Looking at the 6.5-284 what firearm manufacturers make rifles in this caliber or would it be better to go semi custom or full custom on one

    Cheers guys

    Fierce

If you want a reasonably priced rifle, you would be better off just chambering a barrel and screwing it onto something more readily available

What do you want it for?

    I had a Savage F-class in 6.5x284

Used to take it hunting. It was a hoot. Shot ridiculously well. Blow flies at 100m and 2x 6" groups at 1100m on a forum shoot.

    For $1800

Otherwise as above, build one. Which is getting harder.

Savage make their 116 Weather Warrior in 6.5x284 which seems to come up for sale every couple of months s/h here or on TMe.

But I'd think it's possible to buy a s/h Tikka TX3 in 6.5CM, easy to convert to long action and then put a 6.5/284 reamer with long throat down the barrel.
A good job and a good wife has been the ruin of many a good hunter.

This be good and cheapest option. 22inch barrel though.

Not too many factory prc hunting options around. I tried a sauer 100 and wouldn't recommend.

I've now got a 6.5-284 Criterion prefit to go on a tikka. Heavy sporter @26inch

The problem with everything and getting worse going forward.

"reloading" was one of the top US Google searches recently.

    Definitely worth considering
