    Just purely for the practical side of things. Yes I know 2 inches is only 2 inches, but the amount of times I've cursed a longer rifle while crawling through Kaweka Scrub has convinced my that its worth it. Even if I go down to 18". That way with this calibre I will still be going faster than a 6.5 CM or 6.5x55 with a full length barrel (I have read that you loose approximately 25fps per inch of barrel).....well that's the theory anyway.
